You’ve got your wedding venue ; what next?
Here are our top 5 tips on how to decorate your wedding venue with flowers…..

I’m a great believer in using your budget to maximum effect and working with the beautiful elements or quirky details of your wedding/party venue to create a wow factor for your guests.

1) Hanging balls or chandeliers:

These make a great statement and is very on trend at the moment using a mass of flowers or fabulous textured foliages with scented herbs or blossom.
These can be made to look wonderfully romantic and rustic or with a collection of fabulous large fern leaves give a kind of seventies Miami beach vibe.

2) Two of a Kind:

I love symmetry creating an area using pairs of displays always works and is a great backdrop for photos. Look for unusual containers which will enhance your look, either complementing your wedding venue or something in contrast. For my own January wedding I used great urns on plinths filled with tall birch twigs/branches with wonderful winter foliages green Cymbidium orchids, Roses, grapes and other fruits played a key role.

3) Mantels:

If you are lucky enough to have a mantelpiece at your wedding venue do use it. In my experience they are a brilliant statement area to dress and it can be done in many different ways; from large front facing displays or luxurious garlands, bud vases, jars and anything in between. Personally I love to use vessels with different finishes including all the same blooms or a cornucopia of flora and fora.

4) Tables:

Your guests are going to see your table decoration the most closely so there is a lot to think about, will you opt for a tall striking display with floral detail around the bottom to balance the look and will lead your eye to the drama above? Or something lower and more intricate with different levels and textures to create interest? There is very much a botanical vibe going on at the moment from Long trailing display reminiscent of garden borders to glass Terrariums .
